Exercise And Sports Science Classes

So even though my Spring Semester is over (thanks goodness) I will be back in school on Tuesday for Summer Classes.  I’m actually excited because I recently switched one of my majors from Environmental Science to Exercise and Sports Science so I’m looking forward to taking new classes for my new major.

My first class will be Emergency Care, in which I will learn “Theory and practice of basic first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the acute care of athletic injuries.” I will also become CPR certified.

So I might be able to help people who have questions about injuries, HOWEVER: taking this class will in no way certify me to diagnose injuries or give advice BUT I can at least tell you what my book says if you want to ask a question anyway.

My 2nd class will be Human Anatomy in which I will study the body with emphasis on the musculoskeletal, articular, and nervous systems.

So excited! I’ve already read some of my books :D

Exam #2 Down and Ninja Night Run

Today I spent all day studying for my Geology exam which was at 4pm.  I think I did pretty well on it! woo! 2 down, 2 to go!

After my exam, I watched the 2 episode of Glee I missed (The Lady Gaga one was awesome!!)

Then I went for a run but it was already dark.  I like running in the dark.  I feel pretty safe in my town but I’m still alert when I run.  I did a nice 5 miles with about a 7:40 minute/mile pace.  Not too shabby.

Now I’m going to kick back a protein shake and chill.  I’ve got to study all day tomorrow for an 8am Spanish exam. *deep breath* I can get through all these exams. No biggie… (I think I’d rather run a half ironman)

For all you other college kids, here’s a complimentary stress reduction kit!

Happy Fitpocalypse tomorrow fitblrs!

FRIDAY!!!

I am soooooo glad it’s Friday!!! This week has been a long one! I had a calculus test today that I don’t think I did very well on so I’m going to have to study a little everyday instead of just the week before the exam.

Went for an hour spin class today, which was awesome! We did intervals of sprints, seated and standing climbs, and jumps so I felt pretty beat afterwards.

Did weights today too. I love that feeling you get when you go to lift what you did last week and find that it’s too easy! And you have to add more weight because you’re just beasting!  It’s great! Happened to me today!

I’m getting Indian food tonight!! It’s mostly organic/local Indian food and the woman who owns the restaurant does so much for the community.  If you can’t afford to eat there, you still can because the restaurant takes donations to pay for the meals of hungry people in our town. Can’t wait to go!!
