Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged any news about my life because I’ve been trying to focus on studying for an exam that I had today and I also started working for my school’s Campus Recreation as an intramural indoor soccer official. It’s really fun and really easy and is a good way for me to make money without leaving campus.

Tomorrow I am running in the Shamrock N’ Run 5k which is a big philanthropy event for one of the sororities at my school. I ran it last year and got 1st in my age group but I don’t know if I’ll do so well this year. I haven’t been running as much or as fast but I might surprise myself.  You never know!

Today I had my best indoor spinning workout ever! The computer showed me having higher power and the farthest distance I’ve ever gone for an hour class! I feel so badass!! Woot. I also did a weights workout and am finding that I can lift more each week :)

In other news, I am joining a triathlon team!  We will have group workouts a couple times a week and I will get personalized workouts I think. We’ll see but it should be awesome!!

Crossfit n00b

Yesterday I went to my first ever Crossfit! 

It was great! And tough! We warmed up with jump squat turns, 100m fast run, and plank walk-ups.

Then we did a 20 minute WOD, which consisted of stadiums with pushups at the top once you get to the end of the stadium, lunges and bear crawls along the straightaway of the track, and dips at the start of the stadium. Anddddd repeat.

I got through that 3.5 times, which I felt was pretty good. Most of the guys were ahead but they were better at the pushups and dips.   I think I did better than they expected me to do. I love when that happens. :)  

Might go again today if I have enough energy by the end of the day.
