Swim For Smiles - A Kids’ Triathlon

Sooo today has been awesome!

This morning I woke up early to volunteer at the Swim for Smiles Triathlon.  It’s a triathlon for kids ages 6-18.  Saturday was the short course and today was the long course.  Both distances were shorter than a sprint though.

It was so inspiring to see little kids running around doing a triathlon!  Some kids were hardcore and had aero helmets, tri suits, and mini tri bikes (I even saw one kid doing a flying mount and putting his feet in his shoes while on the bike - I haven’t even done that yet).  But most kids had mountain bikes and swim suits.  They were having so much fun and it was fun to see them enjoy a sport that I like to do.

Me and my friend Jean (from LUNA Chix) rode up and down the bike course to make sure no one fell, crashed, or had mechanical issues with their bikes.  We also cheered for them! There were no problems so that was good!

A fun morning!

I do a lot of squats with a 40 lb kid on my back, and often push-ups are a challenge. Anybody else? :-)

My Down-Face Dog becomes a tunnel for my son to scoot through.  He often begs me to hold it much long than I had planned.  He’s such a cruel yoga instructor.

This is hilarious! That guy must be a cool dad? big brother? babysitter? Whatever, he’s cool
