Guess what I’m doing tomorrow? My First Charity Bike Ride!
I’m doing the Metric Century (100 km), which is 62 miles. Can’t wait. My furthes ride is about 60 miles so this will be my new furthest ride evar!!
The ride raises money for Multiple Sclerosis Research so it’s a great cause and my LUNA Chix team is doing it plus we will be there before the ride to hand out LUNA bars and advertise our rides.
I’m going to be exhausted tomorrow! But the ride starts so early, I should be done before lunch time.

I went on my longest bike ride ever today! 40 miles of rolling hills in farmland! It was so nice. The temperature was 70-74 degrees F and there weren’t that many cars to deal with.
It was very windy though. Especially towards the beginning of my ride. I felt like I almost blew off of the road twice. It was very scary!
I saw cows, horses, miniature horse, sheep, and an alpaca! So cute! And dogs. So nice. The ride took almost 3 hours but it didn’t seem that long because I was just enjoying the scenery and the feel of my legs propelling me.
I didn’t have a sore butt like the past couple times I’ve been out even though I went twice as far. I think that’s because I started sitting further back on the seat and let my legs carry some of my weight instead of all of my weight on the seat.
I didn’t get a flat so I didn’t get a chance to test my new tire changing skills :( Oh well, maybe next time!
Soooo fun! Might go on a shorter ride tomorrow because I also want to swim a bit. I hope everyone else is having fun on their weekend!!
Taylor Phinney (BMC) about to ride his first ProTeam race in his early career. This youngster (born in 1990) was a phenomenon at U23-section and has nicknames as New Cancellara (2 times Paris-Roubaix at U23 and current WC TT at U23) and New Hope after Armstrong. Besides that, he’s just awesome.

Tour of Qatar: Stage 5
Final stage of the race was won by Andrea Guardini. Little guy was like a whippet! A good win for Farnese Vini in amongst the ProTour teams.
