PR 305lb Deadlift
This was the first time I’ve deadlifted from the floor in months so I’m happy with the PR even if it was a baby PR.
The lift looks fast so I was disapointed when I missed 315 and then 310. May have rushed my setup

She did five sets of these like a BOSS, after hitting a max. She then proceed to do sets of 5 with 90kg on front squat.
Today was definitely a training day where her mental toughness defined her workout. She was literally on the floor between sets, yet got back up to hammer out another every time! Seriously impressive to watch and I feel lucky to train with her.
PS. She was fueled by Monster !

Jon North’s first video at his new gym. I was lucky enough to go with my coach and his wife to train with Jon yesterday.
I’m in the background mostly but you can see me snatch at 1:12 and 3:37.
I was on fire yesterday and my snatches are finally starting to feel smoother and I feel so much more comfortable pulling myself under the bar.

Got to meet Kendrick Farris! He’s such a nice guy.

PR 72.5kg/159.5lb Overhead Squat today!
Feeling strong :)
I may have strained my peroneous longus, yesterday. I have a pain in my calf/shin area and it was really bothering me on my OH squats, which is why I went super slow on the way down. Hopefully with some trigger point and rest, it’ll be ok for tomorrow.

2 weeks out from Collegiates
PR 85kg (187lb) Rack Jerk from Tuesday night. This was a 27# PR for me! I really surprised myself. This training session really made up for Monday’s session where my jerks were not good at all.
Typical day at Mash Elite Performance.
The brah deadlifting is my good friend Greg Nuckols - super strong powerlifter and crazy smart Exercise Science major. I think the weight is 705# at the top. It was tough lockout because he was trying not to crush his junk with the chains.
The trio dancing in the back is made up of my buddies Caleb, and Tim, and then me on the right.

My clean & jerk session from today and my PR clean at 92kg.
I had the pleasure of lifting at Asheville Strength & Conditioning today! The owner, Tamara is really cool and offered to take video and made this cool compilation of my lifting session.
She also gave me tons of encouragement and some coaching cues for my cleans. :)
I definitely want to come back!
ECU Weightlifting Meet Video Recap!
Yesterday’s meet was awesome! I hit some PR’s and qualified for the A session at Collegiate National Championships in April.
All my lifts seemed pretty easy, which tells me that I have a lot in me and I need to really push myself these next 4 weeks to hit bigger numbers!
My coach was so happy and fired up after I lifted. After my PR clean and jerk, he gave me the best hug and picked me up, he was so happy! Haha it was great. :)
